Plot:
Head of a medicine technology company, Walter Burton (Andrew Airlee) sends an expedition up the deadly Gangkhar Puensum in Butan. What exactly they are looking for becomes clear later on in the movie, but for now just know that the entire team disappears, forcing Burton to form a rescue expedition. But this new team has problems of their own. The natives aren’t too happy that they have trespassed on sacred ground and are expecting them to find something called Shambala, which sounds like a tropical fruit smoothie but is really a holy city hidden in the mountains. One of the team members loses the supply of the drug that keeps them alive in the high altitude, and now they only have a limited amount of time to stay. Oh, and all but one member of the original expedition has been killed off by drucks, mythical mountain monsters that resemble bizarre hybrids of a spider, a dragon, and a dinosaur. Looks like this rescue team has their work cut out for them.Cast:
